People You Just Knew Would Make It

You know how folks pop up on that right side of your screen on FB?
Today, it was Debra Pacas. Ironically I just flipped through a picture of her,
in my little photo album. I was not surprised to see "PhD" next to her name on FB.
When I went to school with her, she in another realm of smarts then the rest of us. It makes me so happy to see that end product of that gal I went to school with. Its great to see you again Mrs. Pacas!

When Uncomfortable, Let Kharma Be Your Hand

Where to even begin? /ugh

There is a girl named Jordin, she is a teen, from an even shittier town outside of Loveland. I understand all to well, when I am told of her downturn in life. I understand that her parents are drug addicts and incarcerated, I understand all to well, that she lives with a Grandparent. I get it.

However, when this Jordin, only in February stole "drugs" from the Walmart giving them to a handful of kids AT MVHS, one being mine, to which one girl went to the hospital and mine only vomited and passed out in the bathroom.

When this Jordin adds a post to my teens FB, about oh lets see "Are you coming to my party, I'm getting a keg, some weed, some mollys (IE ecstasy) it will be dope, etc, insert the N word"

When this *shit* is visible to all on FB, I cannot help but ask in the next post, when was the last time her actions almost killed someone. To which a small dumb flame war erupted.

I do not know this Jordin. But I do know the BFF, Rose whose comments were just as bad. Regardless, I took it upon myself to block Rose's numbers from my teens phone.
I can do that. This was a week or so back.

Yesterday afternoon, I get an uncomfortable call from Rose's mom, whom I have known for year and years. She is sheets to the wind, and is rambling to me some random things.. A. Rose keeps loosing her cell phone, and doesn't have one B. Rose's mom cannot get a hold of the girls, by way of my teens cell because of said block and C. something about it costing her by the minute.

I relayed my internet conversation to which was told in some gibberish, since she doesn't use nor understand the Internet, what Rose does on the Internet does not concern her, nor is liable for.

Not thinking it was in my best interest to argue the importance of what is said online, with a drunken lady in her mid-50's, I agreed to unblock the phone. Mikee gave me the shamed look, of the weak person I am. I wished her the best, and hung up my iPhone.

I swear, less than 20 minutes later, the phone rang from Grandma Jenkins number, I thought, ugh, what now.... It was the teen, she called to admit something bad she did. She put her phone in the washing machine.

Welp, I guess everyone is blocked now.

But, IMHO, I know accidents happen. Scalding or getting angry isn't going to help, I know I've washed my iPod a few times. Its just an accident. But, it sure does seem like a little karma.

Yodi. Oh Yodi!

I found this little photo album, it is full of pictures from 5th & 6th grade, plus a few from 7th. The last page hold newspaper clippings of horoscopes, mine & my BFF, Jodi. Its amazing to consider that Jodi and I have been close since 1987, or 24 years ago. We were locker neighbors at the beginning of 7th grade, and then became enemies, then over a Spring Break became inseparable and of course locker partners.

The one falling out came from when she what was best for her, an education and the escape of Loveland. I hated her for it, for all her accomplishments, made me feel bad. I was jealous, envious and spiteful. We went once for about 3 years without speaking.

When I finally made my way to San Diego, and tracked her down to her last known employer, I was told she was in Spain, and I waited months for her return. One night, the phone rang, and we met again. BFF's again. I no longer envy her accomplishments, I admire her.

Jodi graduated SDSU with a degree in Latin Studies and took that and began to travel and teach. She has traveled, learned and taught from Malaga to Cadiz, Lisbon to Bardo, and of course Mazatlan to Brasil. She just added Italian to hre list of languages and loves. Her loves are always a story told best over cocktails, and her descriptions of her loves are always spot on when they materialize.

When I reread the horoscope from my newspaper cut out, it is even more pertinent now, then it was in the late 80's.

Monday July 13th :
Born on this date, you are a deep-feeling individual with a generous and caring nature. You often think more of others than you do of yourself, and you are always the first to lend a hand to one in need. You have a sensitive nature and can be quite timid - even shy and retiring. You enjoy spending time alone, or with a few close friends, but you try as often as possible to avoid large groups. You do not enjoy being in the spotlight; you prefer involvement behind the scenes.

You have a way with words, and you know how to tell a good joke. Indeed, you are often considered the life of the party - despite your reluctance to take part at all. you will likely remain quite close to your family throughout your lifetime - despite some troubles during your childhood.

The part about her family is spot on as well, they have grown closer over the years after her youth spent on shaky ground.

On the back of this 7th grade picture she has written to me, "Amber, Thank you for being my friend or should I say best friend. I love you, you're great, you buttsuck you. BFF, Luv ya, Jodi" Yes, we called each other buttsucks.. it was the late 80s. What can I say?

At least being sick at home, means I can keep working on scanning this giant box of pics.....

The Family Tree Perspective ~ the eldest branch

When I think of my family, my family heritage & roots, etc I picture the typical family tree picture, then I picture my branch fallen on the ground, wilted and a little sad. There would be a frowny face on it. Yes, depressing.

So, here goes. Stanley and Martha Nagel had 5 daughters. Right? Simple place to start. They lived in Cincinnati and my earliest memories are of my gf's Melinda's kitchen table, its that 50's style metal table. Grandma had one. And that stool, that was metal and the bottom pulled out for a little ladder. I remember their basement with large leather furniture, I remember the smell of that furniture. There were toys in that basement, and there was a big laundry room, with a mop sink I think. I think it was a split level house. I cannot imagine having 5 daughters, I can't imagine what stress my Grandpa went through. I know that Grandpa was a Navy guy, and owned a race horse. He named it Five Sisters. All the sisters had different colored eyes.

Linda was the eldest. Linda had 3 daughters all together. The older two, had a different last name, Herzner, Lisa & Teresa. I guess she married Don after that, they had Angie and became Perrys. When I was young, I never knew why the older two had different last names. Poor Grandpa, 5 daughters and now 3 granddaughters.

Teresa came to live with us when she was 16. It was like having an older sister, I guess. They had a big house, on a hill in Cincinnati, if memory serves. There was a train trestle, and when I think about it, Welcome Back Kotter comes to mind as well. Also, does Stevie Wonder. I remember going back to Cincinnati to visit them in 1st grade. Mom had cut all my hair off, due to me neglecting to take care of it. I cried, I looked like a boy, she pierced my ears, now I was a girlie boy. :)

Lisa has a daughter named Brittney, whom I have recently made contact with via FB. She still is in Cincinnati, and recently told me she has not seen the beach. She has 3 children of her own, and from what it sounds like, a boy who loves her. Lisa lives down the street from her. I have not seen them in 20 years.
Teresa has a daughter named Krista. I remember Teresa's handwriting,
I always admired it, and I remember the way she wrote the "K" in Krista's name. From what I know, no one has talked with them. A fondest memory of mine, is a trip I took to Cinci, and we stayed at Teresa's house with her husband Mark, and Krista. When I think about Mark, I only see the main character from Sweet Home Alabama that was married to Reese Whitherspoon. Funny, how you can't remember someones face, and you substitute. They had a huge backyard, on Kemper street, it was really hot and there were fireflies. I listened to alot of REM. I wanted to move there, but didn't due to my relationship at the time. I often think of what would have become to me, had I moved there. Theresa and I were as close as an 8 year old and a 16 year old could be!

Angie, the youngest lives in Indiana and has some kids of her own. I really don't know much. It is not from lack of asking, I do.
So, Linda and Don lived in Houston, much of my life, I have spoken with Don via FB, also. I think he may have Cancer and they have moved to Indiana.

I would love to regain my family ties with them, I will definitely make it a point to go and visit them. I had a plan up my sleeve, as I often do, they are called "Amber's Wacky Adventures" and fly back east and rent a car and just do a huge tour, visit as much of my past as possible, and take a glimpse of Mikee's in Erie.
There are many people to re-meet, or to branch out my tree.

Some New Rockin' Tunes & One Major Embarassment

I got three new CDs and a new record this week! My new record is a 2$ guilty pleasure of pure embarrassment from Olivia Newton John and brings me back to like 2nd grade. Ssshh!

I was listening to the radio the other day, and this jam came on, and I was like "oh shit! That dude can WAIL!" and looked up this video to find this homely little white girl, all silly awkwardly awesome, doing that wailing in what appears to be a bookstore, Shea contends that it is a library, but either which way, this girlie is RAD!

My tune for kickin into the summer is 'Lets Go Surfing' by The Drums

And finally, Foster the People

So, in two weeks is the 94.9 Coastal Invasion! I am so stoked to see the Cold War Kids and Band of Skulls! Diggit. Or, I'll sell my tickets for big bucks and buy furniture.... That would be showing my age.!

And the Livin's Easy

With this cert, all I need to do is register with the IRS and get bonded and I am legally licensed to do taxes, that is pretty cool! 3 more classes for that accounting AS.

With that, however, it IS officially summer now! All finals are completed and it is time to relax. Which means go crazy with boredom! argh!

24 Hour Shopping in Rapture

Fab Five Freddie told me everybody's high
DJ's spinnin' are savin' my mind

I explained the ideal of the rapture to Shea this morning on the way to school. I think perhaps, saying this theory outloud, just makes it sound so preposterous. She looked at me like I was nutso! Anyway, I say to her, like I say about everything, you don't have to believe anything, but its wise to know what other people believe and be respectful of that. But, comeon'... "Hey kiddo, if you are at your Dad's this weekend, and he just disappears, ya know, his clothes are laying there, but his body is gone, welp, he's gone with God." Yes, that is nuts. I did however, enjoy the Kirk Cameron book, Left Behind, a few years back.

I know some pretty God-fearing people, I wonder if they believe this? I wonder if they have put their affairs in order, and are ready to join God in the kingdom of heaven.... Its easy to post the God this and God that quotes on the internet, but where is the line drawn in the believing? What about the people who have fold their homes? Finished their bucket lists? Now, THATS some believing! Kuddos!

Like the "Jesus is Lord" truck that sits down by Sports Arena so all leaving OB on the Ocho can see it, I wonder if that guy has put his final affairs in order.

It is not that I am trying to mock, I am just curious. I have the same spiritual side at the next person, but I don't think I'd max out my credit card, thinking I would not be obligated to pay it back.

I wonder what's getting more press this week, Oprah, Arnold or the Lord?

Just.. So... Close

3 more things to finalize-
* Finish arguing my final with my the speech professor
* Law presentation argument, today at 12:45
* Turn in tax final, oh, and drop off some things at the Goodwill, and pick up
certificate of completion. After I get that, all I will need to do is register
with the IRS, buy a bond, and I am legal to get paid to do tax returns. DAMM!

Then call it a semester.

I guess this weekend we will continue working on the house. We finally got rid of the damn giant armoir. I felt so bad, the guy who picked it up, twisted his ankle moving it out. But it is out, and the living room looks like we're kids who just moved out of their parents house.. We are cracking jokes about having shelves make of crates and cinder blocks.

Ok. Back to work!~

Spring Cleaning

We had a busy weekend! Shea was home for lots of the weekend with her BFF, who is a treat to have around. Took the girls to a birthday party on Saturday, where the pool has the classic 80's slide and diving board. Jeez, remember when pools were FUN? What are kids expected to do nowadays? Sit and not drowned? :)

For the rest of our weekend, we are hellbent on the updating of our living room. We sold off the old purple bike, Mikee painted both our shelves, and we sold the armoir. Next step is to buy a TV stand, TV to mount on the wall, and replace the coffee table and couch. Thereby selling the old coffee table and junking the old couch. Plus, we need to buy the girls a bunk bed and we need a king bed frame.
WHEW! It just a matter of what becomes available for super cheap!

I picked up movies this week, Mikee got a kick out of Red Surf, a classic Clooney flick from before he was Dr. Doug Ross. And we tried watching The Other Guys with Marky Mark and Will Farrell last night, turned it off half way. Yep. Wasted buck.

I only have my Law and Speech final to go, and I am el finito! Aye Aye Aye!

How My Day Was Made :)

Clea is coming back for the month of July!!! I am so excited! This time for a little longer visit, and she agreed to take classes that I offered. I suggested she go to the John Harvard Academy, when we sat down with the administrator, he suggested an accelerated route for her to test out of algebra and be able to hit geometry next year. I get the impression from her that she would do much better in upper division work. We also found an art studio over in NTC she was liked and could take a class at. Plus, now I would feel comfortable enrolling her an this fine arts course from BYU online that would knock an A off her grades.
Plus, I am hoping we can take a road trip all 4 of us to San Fransisco, neither of the girls have been. I think that city could change a life's direction. We could go and look at Berkeley and all the art schools.

4th Grade ~ The Last Good Year

I had gone to the same elementary school, I had cousins at the school. It seemed to me there was no "caste system" and everyone was friends, and I was part of that. In 5th grade, my family was moved to the other part of town, where I was introduced to the cliques and guess jeans. I had no Esprit bag, and felt ostracized. The kids at the new school, Monroe seemed dirt poor like me with our apartment living or mega rich and had houses on the lake. When I look at this picture of my fourth grade class, memories flood in.
I'll start from the top and go across. Jeremy Geddes I don't really remember, but next to him was Brian Snell. He had a twin sister named Elisa and they lived across the street from my cousins on 10th street. There were peacocks that ran wild in their yard.
Next to him was Gary Longmore. Gary's stepdad shot and killed Gary, his older brother and their mother that year. I remember the day distinctly. It still brings a tear to my eye. They lived on 1st street, I think of him when I drive past the house when I am back in Loveland.

Sal was quiet. Mark Cambell, I wonder what ever became of that guy. He had a really great sense of humor. Ross was serious, he is prolly a businessman now and doing well. Kristen Caldwell was my BFF. I was at her house alot, she lived near the school. I remember playing alot of barbies and I remember she had strawberry shortcake dolls, and to this day, when I smell any Strawberry Shortcake doll, I think of her house.

Next row, Gary Hill, he was the smart ass-kissy kid. Carey Thrap and I did alot of roller skating, I was at her house the fist time I saw Kajagoogoo's Too Shy video. She has cable. :) Stacy Anderson's family seems to have the most money but she invited me to my first sleepover, I drove by her house in February and thought about that sleepover. My mom bought me kid sleeping bag just for the occassion and we read Alvin Schwartz' Scary Storie to Tell in the Dark. Jason VanDyke was the cutest boy in class, IMHO. Mary Shafer and Chelly McBroom were BFF's. There are two girls in Shea's class that remind me of them, just two peas in a pod. Josh Smith was cool.

Bottom Row, Kevin Riley came from a big poor family, with older brothers who smoked and wore heavy metal shirts. That was my 4th grade impression, I remember referring to them as "The Rileys".. Victor Monroe was the gross kid and remember when I had to kneel next to him, and not beeing to happy about it. And would you check out that fancy get up I got on! I remember that friggin outfit, I cannot believe Grandma Jenkins thought it was cute. The skirt didn't twirl like a real pleated skirt should. Oh, I look like a goof! Kendra Kubbe was new and a little awkward, there is a girl in Shea's class that rememinds me of her too. I often remind Shea to be extra nice to the new kids, and perhaps when she is new, someone will be nice to her.

Shea asked me a few days ago, who my favorite teacher was and with no hesitation, it was Mrs. Freeman. It was a good year for me. I think it had alot to do with my stepdad being in jail, and I was able to spend more time with alone with my mom. She actually gave me spelling tests and did flash cards with me, and it paid off. I learned alot that year, I was very proud of my spelling tests, and I also learned the state capitals that year, and when to use "a" vs "an" and all that.

Mom and I watched alot of Dynasty and that year the "V" serious was on. It was the last year that I lived in a trailer park.
It was the last year I felt secure. The years to come brought moving, it brought police raids, it brought a haunted house, and
it brought Monroe Elementary.

Amazing what I can recall at times.

Random Thoughts on this Thursday

A week closer to Shea being at middle school, a week closer to this semester being over! w00t! The counselor was so helpful yesterday, we got my paperwork in for my certificate as a tax preparer and a certificate of performance in speech, after I complete financial and managerial accounting, plus economics, I'll be done with the AA in accountancy. That I could have done this semester, but I think I'll walk next spring. My transfer major is changed to public administration, I feel like a dunce choosing a major with a lower GPA but, oh well, as they say, it is what it is.

All I have left is my final in federal tax, with the 2 extra credit projects, a discussion post for speech and speech final, and... ? and.. ? oh damn! That's it!

I am having to take a class or two at Grossmont/Southwestern, and I'm completely dumbfounded by their websites, they look like crap. On a good note tho, my fafsa was approved for all the financial aid for next year. whew!

I am trying to get my photo albums up to date, 2011 is a few months behind, https://picasaweb.google.com/aggona.2011 and 2010 is uploaded til summer, but I am working non-stop! https://picasaweb.google.com/aggona.2010.2

I have plans on redoing the living room, the next step is to refinish a bookshelf, I just need the spare time to take everything off it, so we can take it out and sand and paint, slowly but surely. One piece at at time, still want to replace the TV and pick up a new bed frame.

Tonight, is the Friday First Music Club at the Holiday Inn, that should be really cool. Tomorrow is the OB Exposed photo contest, I was thinking that it would be a cool exhibit to go around and photograph all our businesses and their proprietors, kind of "in motion." I saw this photo in the library of Willy back in the 60's at his shop, and it was such a great photo. Looking back at those years from now, would be really cool. Ya know like, "Oh, I remember those guys at the coffee shop or that mechanic!" or "Remember that lady who brought me that fantastic veggie burrito for years?!" or "Hey, remember the folks at Bernie who sold us the cheeseburger bike bell?" :) I think that could be a fun summer plan.

2 out of 5 Down and Away We Go

Got that A in Payroll/Bookkeeping and better yet, my Tuesday nights back to myself!

I got my photos entered into the OB Exposed photo show, that should be fun this Friday night. It was cool last year, not that I think my photos are good at all, but I do love taking pictures and putting them on display is cool too. It would be nice to get a better camera and learn how to use it! :)

Meet with the counselor tomorrow morning, 1. Ask to have the prereq for econ dropped 2. substitute buse 245 for work experience and 3. swap biol for astr and redo the ed plan for an AA in accounting and transfer with a BS in small business mgmt.

Ugh! Hope the counselor is in a good mood, perhaps I should take her a cup of coffee or chocolates, or something..

The Hegerle's are taking the girl scout troop SUP and kayaking tomorrow after school down at Kellogg beach. Its been so cool of Lori to be the troop leader this year! She has planned so many cool excursions for the gals.

Thursday, we're suppose to go to the Holiday Inn to see an open mic night for kids. I hope its nice and hot at the pool.

Friday, Shea is putting her comic on display and dressing up like her character for school. I'll have to go and check that out!

Just Another Tuesday.. now go!

Last night I worked for hours on my payroll final, it's just alot of paperwork, not too much thinking required. :) I still need to finish it up today. 7 files for the IRS, EDD, Vendor, Payroll and Employees with all the correct forms inside. Professor Deaton is fantastic to work with, if I get it all turned in tonight, I am not required to show up for the last day of school next week! I think I can manage that!

Our final law case is arguing to prosecute a man tho gets busted for crack at the airport. Hrm. That should be easy, aside from the team who is defending guy has the "other" Nick, who's a good debater.

I also have to fly to Target to print up the photos that I am putting in the OB Exposed photo show for the historical society today, and get them dropped off. Nothing like waiting til the last minute!

I got pulled pork in the crock pot this morning, thats been marinating since yesterday! :)

Polenta Hush Puppies

This should be good!

Friday Night Liberty to the Gator by the Bay

Tonight, they had a dance show by Jean Issac's dance company, a runway show, and plenty of art galleries open to the public offering free food, wine, champagne and other little bubbly drinks! It was the first time we were able to look around the Command Center, and they had an exhibit about the Admiral who was a POW, I think along the same time as McCain. I need to go back and spend more time reading all the information, it was so heartbreaking. Afterwards we rode our bikes to the Gator by the Bay, to do some recon. The security guard let us in, and we got our 21&up wrist bands and cruise around, listened to some blues, smelled some food a cooking!
The next morning, when we went back, we walked right in with our wrist bands still on!That's $110 of savings! Makes for a fun GATOR day! We ate pulled pork, beneigts drank beer, and I even got a CD from 1978 signed by Elvin Bishop.

This Weeks Movies from the Library

What is interesting.. there is this group of like-minded folks who are like the actor of the main character in this film. 1st I was unable to finish this film, made it maybe half way, I heard Mikee yelling from the other room when I guess the guy and the Swede were going at it, but it was really just.. ugh. not for me. The wierd "type" is the guys in the late 70's or early 80's whom move from their small town to Hollywood in search of fame and forture, and end up addicted to drugs and contracting AIDS. I am glad that that demographic has declined.

Midway Post Office Passport People Can Suck It

I have been calling non-stop for weeks, its either busy or no one picks up.
If you call the main line, it tells you to call the sub line. ARGH

Fine, I'll go to the county admin building to get my passport card!

Surf Rider Pizza ( @ the old Casanova's location)

Shea & I went for a slice after school, and it was so good, I brought a whole pie home! Tasty! I feel such empathy for new businesses. It has be the next biggest stressor after buying a house. The proprietor lady was super nice, I hope they do well.

BAAAck in the Saddle Again

I am planning on getting back in the routine of busting out that 5 miles in the morning. There is zero reason not to. Right? Right! Liberty Station was gorgeous this morning, the outriggers were out outrigging, the leaf blower guys were out leaf blowing, and I was briskly striding around.
Stopped by the junk yard up on Lytton and talked to the guy up there, he wanted 3K for a 64 Dart Mikee and I were looking at. Poop! too much :(

Went to class, and I hate to say it, but I am not a fan of my law professor. She drones on and on, and no one else if welcome to join in. Its a lecture, and no one likes a lecture. I am counting the days til it is over, and that number is 5.

Dr. Rodney had to fix a cavity that my filling fell out of, that was not very pleasant today, he is pleasant, Mr. Rodney is. But having a filling done for the 5th time is for sucks!

We rode Shea over to Capoeira on our bikes, its so beautiful out! I made baked BBQ chicken for dinner, and working on das blog. Shea is off to bed, and I am going to try and stay up for the new South Park. The new episode last week with the iCentipad was frigging hilarity!

I got to take my Algebra final tomorrow which actually involved a drive to City. Blegh. Not looking forward to it, but I AM looking forward to Friday Night Liberty, the open house night at Liberty Station when they put out food and drinks at all the art galleries and studios and welcome everyone to stroll through! Good Times!

You Know What Really Grinds My Gears!

When selling your crap on CL, why don't peeps clean their sheet off?
/ugh!

Its Fun to Stay @ the YMC.. argh, MY paperwork!

We've been members off & on of the Peninsula YMCA for years. I use to take the bus over there when Shea was like 3. And I don't know what the deal is, but my paperwork finds a time suck there and disappears constantly. We went over yesterday, and yep, lost again. Its just a pain to have to re-print all my documents for my financial aid and such.
On a good note, Shea gets to start swim lessons again next month, and I'll be back to the gym, regularly like a good little SoCal gal should be as oppose to held up in my dark little office (kitchen)at home, glued to online classes & coffee.
I am having a miserable time resetting my appointment to get my passport. The line either doesn't answer or is busy. Yes, for the passport office on Midday. Bullshit!
But I am itching to go back to Mexico! Odelay!
I finally made another appointment with the counselor for next week. This is good news, the dean of the business department is going to let me swap one class for BUSE 255, which will put me 3 classes shy of my AS in Small Business Accounting. The math is going to be the death of me. Professor Deaton told me not to fret, she had the same problem, and she was the first lady with her Masters in Accountancy and the Dean of the Business Department. Bless her for not making feel like a box of rocks.

Ok, I gotta get some fresh air, before it hits 85 degrees again!

Just LOOK At It!

My jasmine plant has sprung, and its amazing, aside from singing constantly while walking through my house about the "summer breeze blowing through the jasmine in my mind"! Next year, I hope it vines under my kitchen window where I do dishes! :)

Bikes for Sale

Tahiti 26" White & Pink Ladies Beach Cruiser : $75
Trek Purple 12" Girls Beach Cruiser : $50

This Weekend of Festivals

Saturday morning we did the obligatory walk thru the swap meet, I was hoping to get new clear record sleeves, I ended up getting a "learn Spanish while you drive" cd. :)
We went and looked at new couches, but are torn between what Loki will tear up and my hatred of leather couches. Went to look at tires, as a chick, I really don't care! However, we happened to find ourselves at the Adams Avenue Roots festival. I have no clue what a "Roots Festival" is, aside from a lot of people trying to get you to sign petitions to keep the dispensaries open. Me? I couldn't care less... We searched for Mexican corn in a cup to no avail.
Saturday night, we watched Winter's Bone. The character girl was nominated for an Oscar for her work. It was pretty good, made me feel all yucky, but the thought of meth makes me all "EWWW".
Sunday, we trolleyed down to the Little Italy Art Walk, saw some great work~!
I am working on making sure that I have seen all the Best Picture winning movies, last night we watched 12 Angry Men. Fantastic!

You Know Summer's Here .....

Because during the day, you already have the plans ready for when the whistle blows to throw the BBQ, fishing poles and odds and ends in the cars and head to the bay. Mikee got our fishing licenses yesterday, so we are legal for the year, but it would be a good habit to pick them up "as an Xmas gift", per se. They are good until December 31 of that year, so same price getting them in May, is not the best. We tried out a spot at Spanish Landing, near the parking lot but I don't think we will hit that place up again, the tree overhang produced too many of those "burrs" or whatever they are called. We will find a new perfect spot that has great proximity to everything!

There were two Irish setters swimming out in the bay retrieving a ball, I cannot wait to have a puppy. However, I do think Mike told me that Frenchie's can't swim. :(

My car thermometer topped out at 88 degrees, that is Holiday Inn crashing time!

I have plenty of homework to keep me busy this week. My final in law class is to defend a case, where the guy gets busted with crack at an airport security checkpoint.... Hrm.. Also, I need to write a quick paper about my experience with the tax internship.

I did get a 2nd interview with an SEO company, I politely declined. I know that one thing I really don't want to go back into is IT. It's nice to get a second interview offer though. A staffing company is suppose to call back this week. We will see.

After dropping alot of money in my car, its still squeaking.. Mikee is pissed.
