Skid Rowe at the Dollhouse

Mike Rowe if hands down one of the coolest guys evah. Months ago he came and filled at the  San Diego Derby Doll's Dollhouse and he was a pleasure to meet in person.  We had to keep quiet about the visit until it got confirmed to air, which it did and it was so neat to see our home on CNN.

The girls all came across so well on TV, Ringer is just plain hypnotic.

When It Rains, It Snows..he Says

Lets recap.
*Get a letter from landlord, he's giving me a 20% rent hike
* Get a parking ticket, while parked in front of Dollhouse hauling water upstairs, take 5 minutes
* Hit neighbors car while backing out, she WAS pulled in my lane, all wonky like
* Car dies at work, spend $200 on new batteries, because of course it needs new terminals too
* Day after batter, car overheads on 5 at the S curve in downtown, radiator fan needs replaced, $400
* And I've been sick for a month


So, with that, I'll take a deep breath and be thankful for what I am lucky to have.
* Kids who are highly intelligent, strong willed  and healthy
* A wonderful and loving, not to mention brilliant boyfriend
* Fantastic job that I feel fulfilled at
* Slew of friends and league-mates
* Healthy working relationship with x- husband


Money stuff can suck, but it will have to work itself out.

< 3 and Hockey & Tractors

For Date Night, he took us out to Stone Brewery where I tried all the things I usually scrunch my nose at in detest. I am working my way out of my comfort zone with help. I tried the duck tacos, 3 different beers, a mead and a sour.  Only making a few small faces. :)

So glad we have a team again! I don't care that seats are in nosebleed, as long as were there!
He wore is Francis Whalers sweater, to which he got over 30 compliments , several high fives, and I think some other sexy advances, much to my chagrin. 

Sunday morning, we the funnest brunch at the Tractor Room. We sat next to a couple, and we all sang 80s tunes and chowed our insane cast iron skillets of wonderful crazy food.

Picking Teen Battles

One of the biggest issues we have is old vs newer Arctic Monkeys.

She is almost 15 and I am a old fucking know it all.

I bark, "I was into the Arctic Monkeys when you were learning your ABC's"

I relay the story of how her Dad n I saw the Arctic Monkeys to celebrate our divorce,

and it is still one of my fondest memories of our marriage.

Yet

No matter how pissy I am that the old is way cooler....

One of my favorite past times, is that drive to the dollhouse,

when we are flying up the Pacific Coast Highway to the 5,

and it is clear and beautiful outside,

and the windows are down and the sunroof lets in all the air,

and the radio blares

and we scream the lyrics together...

So laugh and joke around
Remember cuddles in the kitchen
