July 3rd, 2nd to last day of the fair. They were offering some good fair deals this year, a month pass and the 2$ taste of the fair day. It may be hella expensive to hit the fair, but if you search out the deals, budgeting is possible.
We took the coaster up, $10 for both Shea & I to avoid $15 parking fees and traffic headaches. Albeit Mikee came up later and dealt with an over an hour of traffic to park. :(
After Sorrento Valley, when the Coaster hits the beach... the views are amazing.
This years theme was "Out of This World"
We went on a "kids free day" to save fair admission for Shea, I bought mine online with a tickets for a lower price too. We were able to try Deep Fried Pineapple, Twinkies, Oreos, Spareribs, Meatballs, Chili Cheese Fries, Cream-puffs, Tacos, and so much more I cannot even remember it all. But the 2$ deal gave you just a sample. Try everything without the guilt. :) We rode rides, saw only one parent with a lost kid, obligatory farm animals, Shea became a lion, rode an elephant, did a zipline, and the gondola.
